FUNERALS

Creating a beautiful funeral

A beautiful funeral is one that is reflective of the person who has died and acknowledges their significance in our lives. It starts the journey we now begin without them. It may be simple, it may be grand: whatever you want, we will work with you to ensure it is truly memorable. Our experience tells us that a funeral that is relevant to the person who has died, that tells their story and leaves lasting positive memories, helps family and friends cope with their loss.

There are no real rules to funerals and only a few legal requirements, so the possibilities are endless: you are limited only by time and imagination.

There are some essential components of a funeral. These include; whether there will be a burial or cremation, where the funeral is to be held, who is to conduct it, the choice of a casket and requirements for registration of the death. Once decided on, these things provide the framework around which the rest of the service can be planned.

There are also many personal choices which can be selected to further enhance the experience. These include: notices in the newspaper, viewing options, flowers, music, the provision of service sheets, audio visual presentations, whether there will be refreshments after the service, and the like.

Once the funeral has taken place there are additional things you may consider such as bereavement cards, the placement of ashes and a memorial.

We are committed to working with you to ensure the farewell you have planned is exactly what you want – this has been Dil’s approach since our business began. Our philosophy is based on a family tradition: ‘nothing is too much trouble’.
