Grief doesn’t follow a straight line. It comes in waves, with no fixed timeline, and no single way to “get through it.”
At Dils Funeral Services, we understand that the journey through loss is deeply personal. That’s why our grief support resources in Auckland go beyond the funeral, offering real help for real people facing the complex emotions that come with bereavement.
What Is Grief Support?
Grief support is more than sympathy — it’s about providing a safe and understanding space where individuals and families can express their feelings, reflect, and begin to rebuild. The Grief Centre in NZ is designed for all ages and stages of loss.
This may include professional counselling, access to support groups, and helpful resources for parents, children, or anyone who needs a compassionate ear.
You’re Not Alone
Too often, grief can feel isolating. Friends and colleagues move on, but the sadness lingers. The Grief Centre is a charitable trust, established in 2009. Their vision is Tautoko mō ngā tāngata katoa e noho ana i te ngaromanga: Supporting all people living through loss.
Helping Children Through Loss
Children experience grief differently from adults. They may not have the words to express what they’re feeling, and their emotions may surface in behaviour, play, or even silence. Their are child-specific grief resources to help parents and caregivers support little ones through their own healing process.
